On 20th November 2023, the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) released the Graduates Statistics 2022 report.
Number of graduates
Malaysia saw a 5.1% increase in graduates in 2022, reaching a total of 5.92 million, up from 5.63 million in 2021.

In 2022, the unemployment rate among Malaysia’s graduates decreased to 3.7%, down from 4.1% in 2021.

In 2022, 37.1% of graduates are outside the labor force due to retirement or old age.

The median salary increased by 5.5% from 2021 to 2022 (From RM 3,911 to RM 4,128)
